The playoff contending Eagles Pass Eagles varsity baseball squad entertained the Laredo Nixon Mustangs on Friday, April 12, 2019 in a 5:00 PM district baseball diamond encounter at the Eagle Pass ISD Student Activity Center-Polo Moncada Baseball Field.

The home standing Eagles got this game started with a bang in the bottom of the first when leadoff batter Rey Rey Mendoza launched a solo homerun, with one out Braulio Rodriguez belted a single and immediately stole second, with two outs Hector Montoya reached on an error enabling Braulio Rodriguez to score on the play to give the Eagles the early 2 to 0 lead over the Mustangs.

At stake for the Lady Eagles was a District 29-6A was a potential district clinching softball championship. Mission accomplished!

Winn Mavericks’ varsity baseball squad under the leadership of head baseball coach Heriberto Roiz and assistant coaches Rene Ramirez, Jesus Gomez, Domingo Lopez and Rolando Salinas, currently perched in fourth place in the district race, entertained the current district leading Uvalde Coyotes in a key 8:00 PM District 28-5A matchup on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Eagle Pass ISD Student Activity Center-Polo Moncada Baseball Field with revenge on their agenda having suffered a one run loss at the hands of the Coyotes back on March 12, 2019 in the first round of district play. The Pride of Southern Maverick County the mighty C.C. Winn Mavericks earned a big victory behind the pitching and hitting of Jorge Robledo.

The playoff contending Eagle Pass Eagles varsity baseball team under the guidance of head coach Reynol Mendoza currently perched in a tie for third place in the district race ventured to Laredo, Texas on Friday, April 5, 2019 to take on the Laredo LBJ Wolves in a 7:00 PM District 29-6A baseball diamond matchup at the Laredo United ISD Student Activity Center. This contest proved to be quite a historical night as Eagles head baseball coach Reynol Mendoza earned his 300th head baseball coaching victory thus becoming the second winningest head baseball coach in the storied history of the Eagle Pass Eagles high school baseball program behind the legendary Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame inductee Polo Moncada.
