Winn Mavericks’ varsity football squad under the tutelage of head football coach Eric Villaseñor traveled  to Laredo, Texas on Friday, September 8, 2017 to tangle with the Laredo LBJ Wolves in a 7:30 PM non-district gridiron encounter at the United ISD Student Activity Center.

The mighty Eagle Pass Eagles varsity football team under the leadership of head coach Tom Gonzalez returned to their gridiron battles this coming Friday, September 8, 2017 where they hosted the Laredo Cigarroa Toros in their 2017 season home opener with a 7:30 PM non-district matchup at the Eagle Pass SD Student Activity Center Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium.

This game was designated as Parents night with the Eagles players paying tribute to their respective parents during pregame festivities.  The home standing Eagles utilized a stingy defensive attack as well as a well balanced offensive game scheme to secure their first victory of the season with a 35 to7 victory over the visiting Toros.

The Eagle Pass Lady Eagles varsity volleyball squad under the direction of head coach Izaneli Jimenez and assistant coaches Larissa Venegas, Martha Gonzalez and Norma ca hit the road on Tuesday, September 5, 2017  with a road trip to Pearsall, Texas to conclude their 2017 non-district portion of their schedule with a 6:30 PM matchup against the Pearsall Lady Mavericks  The visiting Eagle Pass Lady Eagles made quick work out o this match as the swept the match in three straight sets  by the respective scores of 25-19, 25-11 and 25-18 to continue their winning ways.

The Eagle Pass Eagles varsity football team mentored by head football coach Tom Gonzalez inaugurated the much-anticipated program’s 98th ever season opener with a road trip to Castroville, Texas on Friday, September 1, 2017 and tangled with the Medina Valley Panthers in a 7:30 PM non-district season opening gridiron matchup. The Eagles dropped a heartbreaker 28 to 27 with the home standing Medina Valley Panthers making a 21-point comeback in the second half to come away with hard fought slim one-point victory.
