Eagle Pass Sports Central is proud to announce that the potent Eagle Pass Babe Ruth League 13-15 year old all-stars have made local history by earning a berth in the Babe Ruth League World Series for the third consecutive year after capturing 2019 Southwest Regional Baseball Tournament Championship in four straight dominating games during the tournament that was recently held in Pine Bluff, Arkansas The Eagle Pass Babe Ruth League 13-15 year old all-stars thus have earned themselves a berth in the upcoming 2019 Babe Ruth, League 13-15 year old division World Series scheduled to begin on August 8, 2019 in Bismarck, North Dakota. Eddie Sepulveda was selected the Tournament’s Most Valuable Player at the Southwest Regional Tournament by the Tournament Directors. The Eagle Pass Babe Ruth League 13-15 year old all-stars outscored their four opponents by the whopping margin of 34 to 3 during the Southwest Regional Tournament.
The talented and hard hitting Southwest Regional Champion Eagle Pass Babe Ruth League 13-15 year old all-stars are under the tutelage of manager Eddie Sepulveda along with assistant coaches Ramon Salinas, Jr. and Manuel Melchor. The Eagle Pass Babe Ruth League 13-15 year old all-stars are comprised by Izek Garza #1, Jarrod Romero #22, Eddie Sepulveda #28, Omar Salazar #16, Roger Menchaca #32, Manny Melchor #6, Jorge Saucedo $10, Aaron Trevizo #42, Kali Salinas#5, Juan Garza #7, Roli Jimenez #23, Oscar Cavazos #9 and the Bat Boy is Kaleb Salinas.
In their first game of the Southwest Regional Tournament the Eagle Pass Babe Ruth League 13-15year old all-stars squared off against the tournament’s host team from Pone Bluff, Arkansas with the Eagle Pass squad prevailing by the final score of 7 to 1 with Eddie Sepulveda earning the pitching victory with solid relief help from Juan Garza. The second game pitted the Eagle Pass squad against Bryant, Arkansas with the Eagle Pass Babe Ruth 13-15 year old squad taking the victory by the final score of 7 to 2 with Jarrod Romero credited with the pitching victory. The third game pitted the Eagle Pass Babe Ruth 13-15 year old all-stars against White Hall, Arkansas with the Eagle Pass squad earning a 7 to 0 shutout victory with Roli Jimenez earning the pitching victory. In the Southwest Regional Tournament championship game the highly talented Eagle Pass Babe Ruth League 13-15 year old all-stars simply dominated the Tallassee, Alabama all-stars by the final score of 13 to 0 with Eddie Sepulveda credited with the pitching victory to capture the 2019 Southwest Regional Tournament 13-15 year old division title.
