The talent laden power hitting Eagle Pass Lady Eagles’ varsity softball team journeyed to Laredo, Texas on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 to open their respective quest for the District 29-6A softball title by squaring off against the home standing Laredo United Lady Longhorns in a 7:00 PM marquee match at the United ISD Student Activity Center.

This proved to be enough cushion for Lady Eagles hurler Kaitlin Galvan who continued to dominate the Lady Longhorns batters mixing her pitches inside and outside up and down painting the corners of the plate to near perfection.

The Lady Eagles rewarded Kaitlin Galvan’s pitching performance with a huge seven run production in the top of the sixth to bring an early conclusion to the Lady Eagles district opener enforcing the dreaded 10-run rule.
