EP Babe Ruth League set to Host
14 Year Old Division World Series
August 9-16, 2018 @ Moncada’s Baseball Field

The local community of Eagle Pass, Texas as well as the avid local athletic sports fans are buzzing with enthusiasm as the long storied local athletic history for the City of Eagle Pass, Texas will be recording yet another major milestone to the local athletic history book. For the first time ever, the Eagle Pass Babe Ruth League who are celebrating their 50th year in existence, in conjunction with the City of Eagle Pass, Texas will be hosting the elite 2018 14-year-old division high caliber Babe Ruth League 14-year-old division baseball World Series.
The World Series is scheduled for August 9-16, 2018 at venerable Moncada’s Baseball Field formerly known as Ft. Duncan Baseball Park located in the historic Ft. Duncan Park area. Longtime avid supporters of local youth sports Morris Libson, Jr. and his wife Dora Elia Libson will spearhead this memorable and historic event.
A total of 10 teams from throughout the United States of America will be competing in this highly competitive Babe Ruth League 14 year old division the likes of the Southwest Regional champion, the Midwest Plains Regional champion, the Ohio Valley Regional champion, the Pacific Southwest Regional champion, the Middle Atlantic Regional champion, the New England Regional champion, the Southeast Regional champion, the Pacific Northwest Regional champion as well as the East Texas State champion and the host team Eagle Pass Babe Ruth League 14 year old all-stars.
The 14 year old Babe Ruth League World Series will get underway on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 with the arrival and registration of teams at the Eagle Pass International Center for Trade. On Wednesday, August 8, 2018 IBC Bank located at 2538 East Main St. will be hosting a breakfast for all managers and coaches. The always thrilling Player Skills Competition will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at venerable Moncada’s Baseball Field. At 8:00 PM a Welcome Banquet will be held at the Eagle Pass Center for Trade.
On Thursday, August 8, 2018 a parade for all teams competing at the Babe Ruth League 14 year old division World Series will be held through the City of Eagle Pass, Texas downtown are culminating at Moncada’s Baseball in time for the much anticipated Opening Ceremonies.
The 2018 Babe Ruth League 14 year old World Series Tournament action will get underway on Thursday, August 9, 2019 with a total of four games on the Agenda. Kicking off tournament action will be the New England Regional champion squaring off against the Middle Atlantic Regional champion at high noon, At 2:30 PM the Ohio Valley Regional champion will take on the Southwest Regional champion followed by the East Texas State champion tangling against the Southeast Regional champion at 5:30 PM. The host squad the mighty Eagle Pass Babe Ruth League 14 year old all-stars will close out the first day action by taking the field at 8:00 PM to battle against the Midwest Plains Regional champion.
A total of four games will be played every day until Tuesday, August 14, 2018 when the Quarterfinals round taking place followed by the Semifinals round on Wednesday, August 14, 2018 and culminating with the prestigious World Series champion game taking place on Thursday, August 16, 2018.
The highly talented mighty Eagle Pass Babe Ruth League 14 year old all-stars will be under the direction of manager Ramon Salinas, Jr. and assistant coaches Ramon S. Salinas, Julian Elizondo and Eduardo Sepulveda while the star studded roster will be comprised by #1 Izek Garza, #5 Ramon “Kali” Salinas, #6 Manuel “Manny” Melchor, #7 Juan Jesus Garza, #9 Zackary “Zack” Zapata, #11 Matthew Elizondo, #12 Josue Jimenez, #16 Omar Salazar, #22 Hector “PJ” Gomez, Jr., #23 Alan “Roly” Jimenez, #27 Guillermo “Fabian” Velasquez, #28 Eduardo “Eddie” Sepulveda, #29 Jose “JP” Ramos, #42 Aaron “Guero” Trevizo and #99 Jared Romero.
Eagle Pass Sports Central invites the entire community Eagle Pass, Texas as well as the surrounding area to come out to Moncada’s Baseball Field to witness this historic Babe Ruth League 14 year old division World Series and support the local Eagle Pass Babe Ruth League 14 year old all-stars in their quest for the prestigious World Series championship and will eventually become the future C.C. Winn Mavericks and Eagle Pass Eagles varsity high school baseball players.
