The Eagle Pass Lady Eagles varsity girls volleyball squad under the direction of head coach Izaneli Jimenez and assistant coaches Larissa Venegas, Martha Gonzalez and Norma Oca seeking their first district victory of the season entertained the visiting Laredo LBJ Lady Wolves in a 6:30 PM District 29-6A matchup at the Eagle Pass High School gymnasium on Friday, October 6, 2017.

The valiant and youthful home standing Lady Eagles really played their hearts out in this match never backing down and answering every offensive attack that the visiting Lady Wolves put forth battling for net supremacy throughout the entire match getting quality production from nearly their entire roster.  The young Lady Eagles countered with an aggressive offensive and defensive scheme with the lead exchanging hands back and forth but Lady Luck was just not on the home side in this match as the proud Lady Eagles fell in three heart breaking and thrilling sets by the sores of 20-25, 22-25 and 24-26 but the Eagle Pass Lady Eagles varsity girls volleyball team have to be highly commended for their outstanding effort in this match that just as easily could have gone the other way..
