The Eagle Pass High School varsity boys track and field squad under the direction of head track coach Roger Olivas ventured to San Antonio, Texas on Thursday, March 21, 2019 to compete in the Annual Alamo Heights Mules Relays as they continue their preparations for the upcoming District 29-6A track and field meet. The Eagles finished as the overall runner-up meet champions at the Alamo Heights Mules Relays with a total of 111 points.

The Eagles varsity boys brought home two gold medals, two silver medals and for bronze medals. Earning the gold medals were Sergio Hernandez in the 800 Meter run with a winning time of 2:03.31 and Joshua Monsivais in the 300 Meter Hurdles with a winning time of 42.38. Capturing the silver medals were Sergio Hernandez in the 1600 Meter run with a time of 4:35.38 and the 4x400Meter Relay quartet of Isaac Caballero, Allan Rodriguez, Oscar Mallen and anchored by Joshua Monsivais with a time of 3:29.07. Garnering bronze medals were OJ Ruiz in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:05.53, Erick Esquivel Romo in the Long Jump with a leap of 19’ 10”, Charlie Schuessler in the Shot Put with a heave of 43’ 10 ½”, and Marco Torres in the Pole Vault with a height of 10’ 6”.

Also earning valuable over all team points were the 4x100 Sprint Relay crew of Jaden Kypuros, Allan Rodriguez, Javier De Leon and Isaac Caballero who placed fourth with a time of 44,53, Eddie Trevino who placed fourth with a time of 17.46, the 4x200 Meter Relay crew of Erick Esquivel Romo, Allan Rodriguez, Javier De Leon and Isaac Caballero who finished fourth with a time of 1:33.82, Erick Esquivel Romo in the triple jump who placed fourth in the Triple Jump with a distance of 38’ 1”, Charlie Schuessler who finished fourth in the Discus Throw with a toss of 124’ 9”, Henry Browning who tied for fourth in the Pole Vault with a height of 10’ 0”, Oscar Mallen who placed fifth in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:07.22, OJ Ruiz who finished fifth in the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 4:49. 97, Dakota Kypuros who placed fifth in the Triple Jump with a leap of 38’ ¼”, Nathan Aguilera who placed fifth in the Shot Put with a heave of 41’ 5” and Joseph De Hoyos who came in fifth in the Discus Throw with a distance of 124’ 8”,
