The 2019 C.C. Winn Mavericks varsity baseball squad under the leadership of head baseball coach Heriberto Roiz and the 2019 Eagles Pass Eagles varsity baseball squad under the guidance of head baseball coach Reynol Mendoza will hit the road this coming Thursday, February 21, 2019 for a trip to Laredo, Texas to compete in the three day truly elite and high powered 33rd Annual Border Olympics Baseball Tournament which is one of if not the absolute best high school baseball tourneys in the country.

The mighty Mavericks will compete in pool play against the likes of Cibolo Steele, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, Del Rio, Brownsville Veterans and Tomball. The Mavericks will open up pool play on Thursday with an 11:15 AM matchup against Cibolo Steele at Slaughter Park followed by a 3:45 encounter against PSJA at TAMIU Baseball Field. On Friday the Mavericks resume pool play with a 9:00 AM contest against Del Rio at Krueger Field followed by an 8:15 encounter against Tomball at the Laredo United ISD SAC. The Mavericks will then conclude pool play on Saturday with an 11:15 matchup against Brownsville Veterans at Krueger Field.

The 2019 edition of the C.C. Winn Mavericks’ varsity baseball roster will be comprised by Brandon Villasenor #1, Jorge Robledo #3, Miguel Solis #4, Jared Roiz #6, Jorge Romero #8, David Perez #9, Frank Rivas #10, Raul Solis #11, Mario Galvan #12, Alex Trevino #13, Erik Villarreal #15, Frank Ballones #16, Salvador Lara #17, Orlando Molina #18, Arturo Pedroza $19, Ruben Ramos #20,Jorge Salinas #21, Alex Garcia #24 and Jacob Salinas #25.

The mighty Eagles will compete in pool play against the likes of Edcouch Elsa, San Antonio Stevens, Corpus Christi Moody, New Braunfels Canyon, and Edinburg North. The Eagles open up pool play on Thursday with a 1:30 PM matchup against Edinburg North at the United ISD SAC and follow that with an 8:15 PM encounter against San Antonio Stevens at venerable Krieger Field. On Friday the Eagles will take on Corpus Christi Moody at 1:30 PM at the Uni-Trade Stadium followed by an 8:15 encounter against Edcouch Elsa at Slaughter Field. On Saturday the Eagles will culminate pool play with a 1:30 PM matchup against New Braunfels Canyon at the Laredo United High School Campus baseball field,

The 2019 edition of the Eagle Pass Eagles varsity baseball roster will be comprised by Roly Riza #1, Eric Heredia #2, Isaac Gonzalez #3, Jacob Ruiz #4,Checo Lopez #5, Rey Rey Mendoza #7, Kevin Ochoa #8, Orly Garza #9, Anuar Gonzalez #11, David Lopez #13, Kristian Barcena #14, Victor Perry #15, Hector Montoya #17, Edward Mendoza #19, Braulio Rodriguez #32, Tito Villarreal #23 and Carlos Jimenez #24.
