The visiting Longhorns will venture into this game with their patented aerial show and sporting an overall season record of 3-4 and a district mark of 2-2.  Steering the offense for the Longhorns young sophomore Wayo Huerta #10 who is a very good athlete and will run with the ball if need be. Joining him in the backfield will be hardnosed running back Isaac Velasquez #22 by far the best overall player who is a big play maker, great cutback runner that must be contained. Velasquez will also lineup as a QB in their Wildcat formation. The quarter of receiving corps in their aerial show will include Chris Fine #1 who is very fast with good hands and a big play maker, wingback Jorge Murillo #2 probably their favorite target with good hands and runs excellent routes, Chris Salinas #88 who has good hands and is an excellent blocker and Jacob Morales #7 good hands mainly used o short passes.

The Longhorns offensive line will include Mauricio Rodriguez #65 at left tackle big, strong and good pass protector and run blocker, Gerardo Hermosillo #79 at left guard big. strong very good pass protector and run blocker, Iram Escontrias #75 at center very good in zone blocking scheme must stay low on him, Edgardo Mireles #67 stay with his blocks and gets to the second level with his blocks, and JJ Garcia #70at right tackle big, strong but has trouble with quick defensive linemen.

Defensively the Longhorns employ a basic 4-3 Cover 2 scheme with a fast, mobile and aggressive defensive line with the likes of defensive tackle Christopher Martinez #71, defensive tackle Brandon Brondo #47, defensive end Bryan Hernandez #56 and defensive end Pablo Garza #52.  The Longhorns will also feature their patented trio of solid, fast, hard hitting and aggressive linebackers in Christian Cazares #53, Joey Casso #45 and David Macias #27.  The Longhorns defensive secondary unit will consist of corners Oscar Villarreal#3 and Ivan Alaniz #23 with safeties Daniel Sanchez #4 and Dominic Castro #11

The quick striking Eagle Pass Eagles explosive offense will counter with their potent offensive game plan that can score via ground or through the airway from anywhere out on the field. The Eagles feature standout running back Dee Andre Torres one of the elite rushers in District 29-6A.Torres has rushed for 756 yards and tallied 11 rushing touchdowns this season through seven games.  Joining him in the back field will be quarterback Richie Luna who will run with the ball if need be. When the Eagles employ their passing game Luna has completed 80 passes out of135 attempts for 1083 yards and thrown 12 TD passes. The Eagles swift sure handed quartet of receivers features a pair of very tall receivers with speed in Albert Guevara and Rey Mendoza as well as a pair of stellar shifty slot backs in Jose Riojas and Norby Zavala all four of which possess good hands.

The equally fast and very aggressive Eagles defensive unit feature a stellar defensive front line comprised of Sebastian Hernandez, Mario Torres, Moi Rocha and David Santos who have simply been dominating in the trenches and will look to contain the Panthers ground game to minimal yardage.  The hard hitting line backing duo of standouts David Kypuros and Haran Rodriguez will be counted on to have a big game against the visiting Longhorns. The swift defensive secondary unit of Raul Lechler, Kristian Barcena, Ryan Chisum and Nico Moyeda will have their hands full covering the Longhorns receivers but they never back down from any challenges implementing their patented blanket coverage and will inflict some punishing hits on you and as well as force key turnovers
