With the start of the much anticipated 2017 Texas High School football season around the horizon, news coming out of Laredo, Texas through the Eagle Pass Sports Central 24 hour Sports ticker is that former Eagle Pass Eagles head football coach Oki Villasenor and two of his former standout Eagle Pass Eagles varsity football players Peter Juve and Jesus Villasenor who also coached alongside the longtime veteran head football Oki Villasenor will now be pacing the sidelines as assistant football coaches for head football coach David Sanchez’s perennially high powered, high scoring and playoff bound Laredo United Longhorns.

The highly experienced former head football coach Oki Villasenor who himself was mentored and tutored by some of the true legendary Texas High School head football coaches with the likes of Cozel Foster, Mike Honeycutt, Bobby Slaughter, Stuart McBirnie and Tommy Watkins will now be the Laredo United Longhorns offensive line run game coordinator.

Peter Juve  the former Eagle Pass Eagles stellar quarterback will be coaching the Longhorns running backs who year in and year out have produced 1000 yard running backs to compliment the Longhorns patented prolific passing game while Jesus Villasenor the former Eagle Pass Eagles hard hitting standout linebacker will mentor the Longhorns famed line backing corps.

It should be quite interesting this coming season when the Laredo United Longhorns host the Eagle Pass Eagles on the gridiron and see these former Eagle Pass Eagles players/coaches match wits and strategies against the current Eagle Pass Eagles coaching staff.
